Upgrades & storage between shoots

Hello.

1)- 2 years ago I purchased my first riser - a beautiful W&W NX XPert. I have been using KAP Winstorm limbs, but am now ready to upgrade (in both quality and poundage). Would you please recommend which limbs you feel would match the riser & give a significant improvement in 'feel' and performance (I will also need to upgrade my arrows from the modest Easton Jazz aluminium that I currently use).

2)- My 2 boys (10 & 13 years old) have been shooting for 3 years now, and are outgrowing their existing T-Rex risers and T-Rex and Winstorm limbs. What would you recommend as a logical upgrade in riser and limbs?

3)- As we are living on a farm in Canada (temporarily, for the next 2 or 3 years - we are from Australia originally), we have a target set up permanently and can shoot just outside the back door. We shoot every day that it is not raining, and it is our habit to string and unstring the bows every day we shoot. My question is whether this is necessary? I have had conflicting advice, with some saying it is OK to store the bow strung, given that we are shooting daily (this would be useful, if OK, as daily stringing and unstringing, if not necessary, is a time-waster). Others say the performance of the limbs is compromised by leaving them permanently stressed. Your ruling on this debate would be most welcome. Of course, we want to do what is best for the equipment.

Dear sir,

We are so sorry for the late response and  thank you very much for the interest in WIN&WIN gear.

NX Xpert riser is one of World top models. Even though we stop producting it since launching full carbon risers, many top archers still prefer and use it. It is really difficult to recommend you the most matchable limbs. :) Actually all WIN&WIN limbs go well with the riser. :) However, if you shoot KAP Winstorm limbs now, it would be good to upgrade to WineX or Winact without big burden of cost.

Otherwise, it is also good way to choose the limbs after checking the characteristics of the limbs. Most of limbs are divided by 2 kinds-wood core limbs and carbon/foam core limbs. They have many differences but the biggest different thing is that wood core limbs are very stable to shoot and carbon/foam core limbs are very speedy. Of course, this is extremely relative characteristic. That is, it doesn't mean carbon/foam limbs are not stable to shoot or wood limbs are not speedy.

It sounds very nice to hear that your family has the same habby. According to the boys's growing and strong, they should upgrade the bow capacity such as bow length and poundage. And then, they should choose the kind of bow. I can give you the same answer as above on this question.

Even some years ago, we recommended to unstring when you don't use the bow. It can be compromised by leaving them permanently stressed and it can cause something like twisting. However, according to today's bow material is getting developed outstandingly and bow deforming is not if you shoot for fun, it is not so necessory to unstring every day.
