Ex Power Limb - Incorrect Poundage

Dear W&W,

Can you please tell me how you calculate your limb weights ?

The reason I ask is that I have just purchased a set of Ex Power limbs 68" - 36lb, to go with my CXT riser. They arrived on Wednesday and today I set them up and tuned my bow. You can imagine my surprise when after winding off the poundage to the maximum allowed on my CXT, I measured my draw weight using two different bow scales and got weights of 41.1 lb (using digital scale) and 40 lb (using mechanical scale). My draw length is 28 1/2 inches and I really can't understand how these limbs can possibly be 36lb, even though they are clearly marked as such and are what I originally ordered.

My main issue is that I cannot possibly use these limbs at this weight and want to know what I am supposed to do next? It's not just that the weight is too much for me, but also that my 2 sets of ACE arrows will not be correctly spined for this poundage.

Please advise.

Les

Dear Mr. Williams,

First of all, thank you very much for purchasing WIN&WIN products.

WIN&WIN limbs are marked the poundage according to AMO standard. That is, the poundage when drawing 26 1/4 from the pivot point to string are marked on the limbs. So if you draw 28 1/2, the real poundage at 28 1/2 can be 40#.

Could you check the poundage when drawing 26 1/4 from pivot point to string? If still you have wrong poundage, please bring the limbs back to the shop you purchased at and check it, please.

Thanks.
