Inno CXT weights too tight

I am enjoying my new Inno CXT riser, however over time I have screw 2 weights together (not to the riser) really tight and now I am finding it impossible to unscrew them and make them just a single weight. Have you got any suggestions to unscrew them and preventing this happening again?

Please screw the weights in the riser tightly with a folk wrench and try to part a cap weight from the other.
